They definitely have. Bastian posted a memo on Delta's website about the incident including the idiot's lifetime ban and the fact that they are refunding the fares of the other passengers.

I agree with his overall exuberance for Donald Trump as President. He's clearly excited and the term b*tches is commonly used across gender. His use of the word was not misogynist, but hey, never miss the opportunity to label Trump supporters as misogynist, uneducated, deplorable, racist, bigots, fascists or just plain old nazis!
Hard for me to see how this guy's political preference should make him invulnerable to criticism.
Anybody who stands up on a crowded plane and starts cussing and clapping his hands aggressively and loudly calling women "b*tches" is a misogynist. Or at least he's acting like one.
Saying you're for Trump doesn't get you off the hook for obnoxious behavior.

Maybe we watched a different video. I never saw him address "women" as b*tches. My friends sometimes call me a b*tch and I'm male. The guy on the plane was using this same nomenclature to address "everyone".
I said in my original post that although I support Trump, I'd be uncomfortable with this guy on the plane and at the very least, they should not have served him any alcohol since he appears inebriated.
Good point by Ansley, do we even know if the plane was still on the ground when this occurred?
*Just did a quick search and appears the plane was mid-flight when this occurred so there you go. Should they have ejected him mid-flight? >
YES. I dont care who you support. Flying is already a curse and only a step above the greyhound. Simply allow me my 20 cubic feet of personal space as i hurtle through space to my destination. . . remove anyone who makes it any more miserable than it already is.
Was the flight in progress or still on the ground? If the former, well... If the later, then kick his sorry rear off that flight!
Flight was at the gate before takeoff. The impression I got from Bastian's memo is that the flight crew didn't feel confident that Delta would support them if they removed the passenger from the plane. His memo includes the quote, "I also want to make sure all of you (DL employees) know we have your backs."

It's remarkable how often one of those shoes fits.

From DL's CEO: "After questioning the customer, our team members made the best decision they could given the information they had and allowed him to remain on the flight." This didn't happen mid-flight.
You are an apologist for a jerk who was harassing his fellow passengers. You are (pathetically) excusing his behavior because he's on your side. There are no excuses for this kind of behavior and even if we want to go with your lame he was drunk excuse, then he should have been removed from the plane anyway as that is a violation of air travel rules by itself. In combination with belligerent behavior it's absolutely cause for being denied boarding and I've seen people escorted off of planes for that reason over the years.
