Horribly tragic.

The criminal deserves blame for fleeing, make no mistake, but with incidents of innocent people being killed due to police car chases, at what point will they start looking more closely at these things?

A couple and their 2-year-old daughter died on Thursday after a police chase ended in a devastating crash near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Police identified the victims as 28-year-old David Bianco, 21-year-old Kaylie Meininger, his fiancée, and their 2-year-old daughter, Annika. They were on their way to a Thanksgiving dinner at a relatives house, according to family members who spoke to Channel 11.

At some point when obd4 is common your police will have the ability to shut off vehicles remotely...and pursuits will become a thing of the past

Hope this one was in full compliance

A major tragedy and destruction of innocent life

Why was Demetrius even among us

Then what action movies are going to do? Joking aside if the criminal is a danger to others if let go then a chase would be necessary. I personally don't like the idea of government having control of my car.

"The police officer who initiated the chase was placed on administrative leave per protocol."

Never as long as they get paid vacation.

This is one of those very tricky things, you certainly don't want criminals to be under the impression they can simply get away by gassing it which could actually lead to more of them doing it. On the other hand if you are chasing someone at 100MPH through busy streets you are endangering a lot of people.

There is no good answer for this.
