How was he worse than his predecessors...all of whom had a somewhat decent relationship with the U.S.?
He drove out a murderous dictator, servants of said dictator, and the Mafia and Robber Barons. Then, he approached the US trying to move forward to a better future. What did he get? President Eisenhower running to the golf course to avoid him......... Things could have been so different.
Same reasons they deposed Saddam and trying to depose Assad
But when Hillary laughed at the demise of Gaddafi, suddenly Republicans were sympathetic, which was stunning. They were defending a murderous dictator just so they could oppose Hillary.
But are the French still doing the same things today? There still are political prisoners in Cuba. Anybody who opposed Castro would end-up in prison. Read this article, and then open the 2 lists of political prisoners near the end of the article: Want names of Cuba
Most if not all developing countries have political prisoners, and Cuba is just one of the developing countries.
I wonder if they have more political prisoners than Russia, Iran, Turkey, Egypt...not to mention China.

shot down an American civilian airplane killing four with three Americans
had Cuban political prisoners
had forced labor camps UMAPs
religious repression against Cubans
separates Cuban families
restricts movements of Cubans
had foreign interventions which lead to thousands of deaths

I'm of the opinion that folks on the left are stupid and/or evil.
Look no further than Little Havana in Miami and see what those folks are doing now, and see what the folks in Cuba are doing / are forced to be doing. The folks from there who know better than me and y'all are dancing and partying in the streets while brandishing Cuban AND American flags.
Just look at the difference between the news coverage of this on FOX vs CNN.
Just because you need Fox to tell you how to think doesn't mean the left loves Castro. If anything, CNN has faith in you to see the story and make your own opinion. Looks like they were wrong though. Now Google Batista and see if he was a peaceful man who didn't pull the same stuff Castro did.
