Why not? Because, to me, it smacks of gangland protection rackets and in fact may not be legal under existing law.

We don't even know if that's how he did it because no details have been released, as far as I know.

If a president-elect can intimidate a business by threatening to cut off their income once he takes office unless they do what he says, how is that different from the Mobs' tactics?

Very likely, in my opinion.

Whatever Obama did or said was bad, and he shouldn't have done it, according to some.

If he didn't do something or say anything, then he should have, according to some of those same folks, apparently.
It ISN'T any different than Mob tactics.

Look, I'mma be intellectually honest with you and tell you that although I freely acknowledge that it's wrong, I like it anyway. LMAO...just being real with you.

That said, I'm sure that such tactics are legally untenable and unsustainable over time. But for the time being, I like seeing a bunch of imperious, avaricious suits being bullied by Trump....if that really happened, and I don't know that it did. But I'm fantasizing that it happened that way...

So take my words with a grain of salt.

Yeah, that's likely fantasy. It sounds like Pence had been in negotiations with Carrier for some time.

This guy has literally committed every conservative heresy in the book. It would be like Obama winning the Democratic nomination on a pro-life, pro-NRA, anti-union, tax cutting, Social Security privatization platform.

Trump has even announced a $1 trillion spending plan and so-called conservatives are like "Woohoo! Now that's conservatism!" LOL.
Lol...surprise! I knew that tigers don't change stripes that fast.

I made a thread a few weeks ago asking the question "when did Trump become a conservative," and all I got in the way of answers from this board's conservative wing was a bunch of uhs, errrs, ahhhhs, circumlocution, and prevaricating around the question.

Yesterday, another poster said that although he voted for Trump, he had no earthly idea what Trump actually believed in or intends to do.

So I'm like...whatever.

Default Obama Croney "Josh Earnest" Gets Cocky When Asked About Carrier; Tells Trump To Do it 804 more times to Meet Obama

Referring to Mr. Trump’s persuading the air conditioning firm Carrier to keep jobs from being transferred to Mexico, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said, “If he is successful in doing that 804 more times, then he will meet the record of manufacturing jobs created in the United States while President Obama was in office.â€

Josh, nobody is fooled with your paid propaganda...Trump already saved jobs and he's not even president. You are barry are FIRED!

I've done it many times. Search for it. I am not here to write you a dissertation. You have your answer.

Yes, those who champion moving jobs to lower wage countries are not going to like this.

Right. I never asked for a dissertation. A short paragraph would have sufficed.

'No proof, no truth', is what I've heard.
