Especially when the bully is your husband & the Father of your child. Personally, I don't know too much about Mrs. Trump however she doesn't appear to be conned into believing Mr. Trump is capable of putting her & her child's best interest above his own.
In my book, this would make Mrs. Trump less gullible than those who have, apparently, been conned into believing President-elect Trump is capable of putting the best interest of the United States of America above his own.

I don't know much about how Melania Trump feels about her husband. I assumed she was with him for the money. Trump doesn't seem like a lovable person. And I see him has someone who isn't capable of "making America great again".
Trump is a narcissist, so he can't love anyone but himself. Poor Melania, married to a boorish clown. But at least she has plenty of money, as long as he doesn't divorce her.
Apparently we need her so much we don't mind spending a 100 million a month just to keep her in style in trump tower. Imagine if that money was spent on homeless or veterans or even just used to pay down the debt instead of keeping the First Lady in the golden toilet capital of the world.

Emotions are always involved in decision making. Always. Stating the obvious, marriage decisions are emotional decisions but even there, most folks don't throw away all caution to the wind. That said, the American people would be better served if decisions related to electing government representatives were based more on reason, logic, past performance, experience, knowledge, wisdom, trustworthiness (very important) & other qualities. In my book, the President-elect is untrustworthy, that alone disqualified him. Period.
Again stating the obvious, the American people didn't know who we were getting with Mr. Trump. He preferred it that way & was able to obstruct the vetting process. I do not envy Mrs. Trump (understatement of the year) however her marriage contract contains certain protections for her & her Son. The 'contract' held by the American people with the President-elect (thankfully) has an expiration date & is contingent.
You have got to be kidding me. Is the author clueless? Americans are so stupid they fail to objectively see a situation for the reality it is.
NEWSFLASH: Melania Trump wants no parts of being first lady. She does not care about Ruck and Shirlene in middle America, nor will she ever advocate on behalf of women who are sexually free or suffered abuse. She is very comfortable living in Trump Tower and being a Manhattan socialite. That's what she signed up for. She does not have command of the English language and lacks basic intellectual curiosity necessary to run in DC circles where women have had to prove themselves. She won't be accepted and she knows it.
Not sure where you are from, but Americans are not stupid. We see a First Lady Elect who has been on the boards of various charities, is a loving and devoted wife and mother, an intelligent woman, and is considered a gracious and kind person by everyone who actually KNOWS her.
Who are you to dictate what Melania has to advocate? She is under no obligation to advocate on behalf of "sexually free" women. Every first lady picks the platform they would like to advocate....she is no different. Laura Bush choice was literacy. Michelle Obama's choice was childhood obesity. Melania's platform of choice is anti-bullying. Seeing as how she and her family have been subjected to a non-stop barrage of bullying from the left and other Trump-haters, she feels pretty strongly about protecting others from this abuse.
As far as not being accepted, the toadying will be non-stop. If anyone thinks the President and First Lady will be snubbed by the DC crowd, they are sadly mistaken. No doubt there will be plenty of intrigue and backstabbing, but no overt hostility or snubbing.
Cons are so shallow that they think someone is great because they are beautiful. That's their only requirement of women. I personally will be very sorry to see that slitty-eyed, plastic made-over, porn-star creature in the White House. I hope she DOES stay in her tower and disappears from view. I wouldn't be surprised if she takes a four-year-long vacation in her home country. She has nothing to offer this country, certainly.

This creature has lived here for decades and still can't speak proper English. But, that's OK, right? After all, she's beautiful! Cons only requirement. I think she didn't even know the meanings of half the words in her speech. It was pretty obvious.
