They are BOTH a problem.
I hope you understand this and aren't seriously deluding yourself into thinking that there is no liberal bias in the MSM, especially CNN and MSNBC.
Never has there been more blatant evidence of just how corrupt and biased many of the MSM outlets have been and apparently they aren't even ashamed about it one bit.

I'm not denying there's a liberal bias. I'm saying that's not the big issue. The NYT is a liberal newspaper. There's no denying it. It's a highly popular magazine in a city that is dripping with liberals (but a specific kind of liberal; liberals, like conservatives, vary from place to place; we'd all do good to remember that). I'd have to be actually stupid to not think they're liberal. But them being liberal isn't the issue.
Profit driven incentive is the problem with media. This incentive to produce "entertainment news" over pressing news. The desire to generate large sums of fluff (clickbait) over investing in real stories. And yes, creating confirmation bias by misusing information rather than simply presenting information. My issue with the "liberal bias" is that it deflects from the actual problem and allows sources like Breitbart, which aside from profits is, in my mind, not producing anything different than what CNN does in terms of it's usefulness, to seem better as they don't have that problem as identified by conservatives.
