I love how lefties think. Christmas is out. Santa is out. Everything is out except leftist Heather has two mommies propaganda. And they call it "inclusiveness".
These people pop up throughout history at certain times. They are the result of the break down of civilized society where these spoiled classes of people have been sheltered from the realities of nature.
Fact is, if it were not for such civilized society, nature would have purged these people quite quickly.
If this is a public school, good. All you righties in here stop bitching. You're kids are in school to learn not celebrate holidays. Take religion all the way out of school and any public forum. Do your thing at home or private places. Hell, i'll even concede the whole mayor lighting Christmas tree thing. But this stuff doesn't need to be in schools. Stop bitching.
I know people that are retirement age that recall certain key events in their life at young ages that set their minds on certain topics.
I'd imagine that many kids having their class Christmas party etc. yanked away because it was "offensive" are going to carry that lesson with them into adulthood.
Seriously people? Like there is a lack of christmas decorations? Please, the ads start in September. The decorations start going up in October, along with store decorations & sales. Salvation Army bell ringers start the first day of November & that's when two radio stations start in w/the nonstop christmas music. Like kids are missing out on christmas if the school doesn't have decorations? Give it a rest.
An Oregon school district has asked staff to not use Santa Claus in their holiday decorations at school, saying it's a way to respect all religious beliefs.
"You may still decorate your door or office if you like, but we ask that you be respectful and sensitive to the diverse perspectives and beliefs of our community and refrain from using religious-themed decorations or images like Santa Claus," the Hillsboro School District said in a letter to staff.
Santa Claus is part of secularization of Christmas. These schools have no business referring to themselves as institutions of learning if their collective brain power is so low they can't figure out that Santa Claus was not a part of the Christian liturgical feast of Christmas.
Valentines Day in the United States originates from the Catholic Church too.
So does Mardi Gras in New Orleans. All of these things including Easter have been secularized. None of them promote Christ or Christianity.
Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine,[1] is an annual holiday celebrated on February 14. It originated as a Western Christian liturgical feast day honoring one or more early saints named Valentinus, and is recognized as a significant cultural and commercial celebration in many regions around the world, although it is not a public holiday in any country.
Mardi Gras (/ˈmɑːrdiɡrɑː/), also called Shrove Tuesday,[1] or Fat Tuesday,[2][3][4][5] in English, refers to events of the Carnival celebrations, beginning on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany (Three Kings Day) and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday. Mardi Gras is French for "Fat Tuesday", reflecting the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season.
So, get rid of Valentines Day in schools too.
Shut down Mardi Gras in New Orleans (and consequently the money the city and business make from it).
But given how sexually addicted people are I doubt they well attack Valentines Day (Conservative Hindus in India have though, destroying shops selling Valentines Day cards, as promoting sexual vice). Or the bare breasted celebration of Mardi Gras with drunk patrons flooding streets.
