No more than a number of men have proven they weren't up to the task of POTUS.
Except they didn't claim that you should vote for them because they were born with a penis and balls.

Ms. Clinton has damaged not only the DNC but made women look bad. As in politics I am sure a honest women candidate will emerge and all memories of Ms. Clinton will be gone!

Hillary proved that even in today's Progressive atmosphere, where minorities and women are supposed to get every job/advantage to make up for discrimination in the past, there are still enough sane Americans that won't support an openly corrupt, arrogant and obnoxious female politician.

I might also point out that Hillary's high-flying political career began because she was the wife of an elected President. This is no way qualifies her for ANY government position; if she had wanted to be a politician, she should have had to start at the bottom like any other inexperienced candidate.

Nothing else. I refuse to use that horrible woman (H. Clinton) as the yard stick to measure all women by.

On point 2 that is not really the case. If you read up on the build up and aftermath of 2008- a lot of party elites were very wary of Hillary. Some were among those urging Obama along. After the election a couple pushed hard for Obama to give Hillary a prime post to get her out of the other Senators' hair and to basically shut Bill up.

Leading up to 2016 there was a move afoot to draft Biden including the promise of shadow campaign operation to get the ball moving while he dealt with personal matters (one son had cancer and the second had some addiction issue.) In the end Biden was too wiped out by family obligations to make the jump but there where people even 1-2 years ago who saw the potential for an Hillary Clinton election catastrophe or version 5.0 of Clinton Drama.

Funny how that didn't ever come out until after she lost and then everyone became Nostradamus on the left.

She also proved that some voters really aren't ready to have a woman president. I think it wasn't just "they don't like Hillary" (though many voters did not). It was more than that.

Women aren't ready to mobilize the way that black voters, along with progressive white and other minority voters mobilized for Obama.

Maybe part of it was Hillary the candidate, but a big chunk of it was that there are plenty of people, no matter how "progressive" they say they are, that are just not willing to vote for a woman.

They do not need to. There's already an established "we have penises and balls" history of male presidents.

If every president in US history had been female, you'd better believe the "penis and balls" argument would have surfaced with the first male candidate.

Same as it did with "first black president" and the same as it will once we have our "first Hispanic" presidential nominee.

People call out differences. It's what we do.

Did I say that? No. I did not. You may think in simplistic terms, but I do not.

I said that some people are not ready. I did not say all.

Whatever group you belong to, that's up to you to decide.

A person could have voted for Trump or voted for Johnson, or vote Bernie in the primary and still been open to the idea of a woman president.

Or, they really could just not be comfortable with it and they need to be honest with themselves about that.
