Not going to happen, will it be changed yup but watch Medicare go out the window.
I'm just thinking out loud here ---NOT saying this is what ought to be:
I guess the primary reason medicare was necessary to begin with is because so many people had their health insurance through their employer and when they retired they lost that.
So.....if health insurance becomes 'universal' for all legal citizens and is not provided by employers it shouldn't matter what age a person is -- they should all have basically the same coverage. Should actually be the same also if you are a veteran, a Native American .....
If it is universal it would be some sort of government sponsored program.
Employers should like that -- saves them money.
The problem is how to pay for it
There would also need to be caps on fees to Drs and hospitals and drug companies
There would also need to be tort reform
What's the logistics here? They repeal it first... and then look to put something else in play?
What happens in the "interim" period?
Rates skyrocket and people are thrown out because of preexisting conditions or non-payment (too expensive).
In the end, republicans are looking for something they can slap their name on and say "they solved healthcare". But Obama will be forever known as the president to implement it. The whole repeal and replace boondogle will be the biggest waste of time and money.
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan announces that the repeal of Obamacare will be the first priority of the new incoming Congress under Donald Trump.
My guess is they'll only repeal sections of the ACA, like the mandates. Since States have failed or refused to cover "pre-existing conditions" they will probably leave that section in place.

Pre-existing conditions exist due to the fact that health plan coverage is almost exclusively employer-based, which is totally stupid, not to mention anti-Free Market.

Whatever they do, it needs to be something that works this time.
My premiums were $377.40/month for the cheapest bronze plan, I get robo calls from healthcare.gov telling me my premiums will go up next year but luckily I just got a job with health benefits that cover me and my wife for less than I paid just for myself and it includes dental.
Meanwhile there are ACA TV commercials telling people they can get coverage for $50/month, what a bunch of unicorn poop.
