Most of the perps are dead.

Asian culture often includes concepts of honor and saving face not comprehensible to Americans. Abe is FINE.

They gambled and lost. No reason to apologize now. Their actions in the last 70 years have more than made up for the dark period in their history. They have done a lot of good in the world and have been a fantastic ally to the US.

My Dad was a Marine in WWII and he forgave them.

What have the German apologies meant to anyone? They also have been a great ally to the US and have made up for a lot of what they have done. Now they are going over the top by taking in all these refugees, I think it still goes back to their guilt. Problem is, they are going to destroy their own country in a way the allies didn't do during WWII. The allies rebuilt it for them after, who will rebuild it this time?

The Germans have made up for what they've done? Really? Says who?

Their victims?

Japanese killed way more civilians than Germans did. They killed 300,000 in a single city of Nanking. They also conducted "medical experiments" on POWs and civilians alive, a crime more serious than the gas chamber.

It's interesting that westerners forgave Japanese so quickly but keep bringing up the Holocaust issue. Maybe it is because Jewish people control the media while Asians (Chinese, Koreans) do not?

well, like i said in another thread, since you are a Chinese-American, of course you would say something like this. I don't think westerners have ever forgiven Japanese that easily like you claimed here.

My point is, Americans and westerners in general keep bringing up the Holocaust issue but forget what Japanese did.
And I proposed a hypothesis as one of the reasons.

Yikes. You could probably be sent to jail in parts of Europe and Canada for making that claim. It can only be true if the orthodox version of the Holocaust is false.
