Economist Milton Friedman was testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee in favor of a national constitutional amendment for a balanced budget. Kennedy argued that a requirement for a balanced budget would restrict the federal government's power and its ability to spend – thus, he said, Washington's role in more fairly and equitably distributing wealth, goods and services.
"Senator, socialism hasn't worked in 6,000 years of recorded history," explained Friedman. "Why won't you give up on it?"
Kennedy rose to his feet, according to Nuttle, who attended the hearing, and replied: "It hasn't worked in 6,000 years of recorded history because it didn't have me to run it."
Turns out they were right. They actually didn't go far enough. Republicans are a threat to the very foundation of America itself. They handed the government over to Trump and his cabal of billionaires, military generals, white nationalists and russian apologists; all the while claiming that they were going to return the government to the people.
They are doing exactly the opposite.
There are no "people" in Trump's government, there are only special interests and factions represented. The anti climate change faction. The Oil industry. The anti labor faction. The anti education system faction. The big, big ,big, money faction, the anti diversity faction, the anti woman faction, the anti social program faction and most of all, The Russian faction.
They defend Trump's denial of the conclusions of 17 of the United States Top intelligence agencies and are using Trump as cover to dismantle all of the nation's economic safety nets and hand the government over to Russian control.
Republicans are spineless scum with not a backbone between the lot of them. The masses who support them are a mindless, ignorant mob.
The bumper sticker slogan "take our country back" will resonate among clear thinking individuals who will stand up to the fatal disease that is Donald Trump and his vicious mob of blowhards.
It has taken 240 years for America to evolve our system of government to what it is today. Liberty, Justice and Freedom for all. And is still a work in progress. With Trump's cabinet picks and his total rejection of his various agencies designed to specifically assist him, he is in the process of dismantling the work of centuries in the next 6 months.
He and his misguided followers are the incarnation of pure evil made manifest.

You didn't seem this concerned when Hillary and President Obama presented the reset button, than turned around and tried to take out Assad, which, in hand has caused all of these refugees.
What are your thoughts on that? Russia can only dismantle us if we allow them to know passwords and how servers can be hacked. Most likely having that secret server in the bathroom was of no concern to those of you who think Trump has already handed America to Russia! While Hillary gave who knows who information from that server.
Well at least the liberals would be prepared for such a scenario. Oh, no, wait, they won't. They were the ones mocking gun owners and preppers.

You certainly aren't talking about seasoned, multi-tour combat veterans who are liberals or their families. and you're not talking about 3rd and 4th generation democrat families who live in Texas, Arizona, Utah, Colorado or New Mexico who have always had numerous guns and are staunch supporters of the 2nd.
Trump does make fun of people. Trump is a extremely degrading to women in some of his personal interactions. We all heard him admit this and he was rewarded by being elected President, so that does mean that very negative admitted actions towards women are not disqualifying to be elected President, some people might find that troubling.
Tho a LOT of women LIKED Trump and; those ladies who voted for the dude have the rep of NOT taking crap.
BTW: some ^^^ are "Hispanic" and some are even "Black" and have mixed race close relatives.
I saw her on TV about 10 years ago...wasn't impressed and never paid attention to her work/opinions since.
