Ben Franklin was an accomplished diplomat who helped in shaping the founding of the US. Harriet Tubman is more on par with some military officer who played some key part in some battle somewhere. Honorable yes, but a key founder of the country? No.
She was an abolitionist who didn't just advocate for the end of slavery, but she risked her life over and over again to bring families to safety via the Underground Railroad. During the Civil War, she worked for the Union Army and even acted as a guide for Union forces. After the war, she was a suffragette.

There is no rule that only founders can be on the currency. And her efforts most certainly did play a role in shaping this country.

Tubman is an American hero.

Harriet Tubman being on the $20 is fine with me.

Indeed. She was a live free or die kind of person. Why not put her on the $20?

We both know why. The problem is getting said persons to admit it.

I don't. I only thought about this because someone made this THEIR priority. Life must be pathetic for someone to be so fixated about Harriet Tubman being on the $20. I don't think about it. I'm too busy trying to have a nice life.

It would be quite funny to watch the haters go nuts.

Personally, English belongs on our bills. It is the USA. We speak English. On the other hand, it will be funny to watch the haters go into a tantrum.

I don't think Spanish will be on our bills.

It surprises me how my City Data Page of my hometown is moderated to the extreme. But this Politics side of City Data isn't.

None the less sometimes I feel I am on Storm Front instead of City Data.
