If a government janitor's wage is 3x a private sector janitor's wage for the same work, why should the private sector janitor pay the same tax rate as the government janitor?
Because the government janitor would be paying 3 times the amount in taxes as the private sector janitor for the exact same access to government services and benefits with no guarantee that the government services and benefits he receives will be 3 times as much as the private sector janitor receives. See how that works?

So you think people who pay a higher rate deserve to get some extra special road to drive on because they pay a higher rate to fund roads? Ridiculous. If you want to use that logic, then you should be against any tax to begin with, and instead privatize everything, meaning that the old widow on $8000 a year pays the same $1000 a year in tolls to drive on the roads as Rex Tillerson. Thats "fair" according to the social darwinists. I am sure most social darwinists in here would eventually go begging in the streets or end up like their idol Ayn Rand, dying broke of lung cancer after railing against the liberal hoax of the dangers of smoking.
If you're so uninterested in money, why are you constantly trying to grub it away from other people? Sounds like you won't be getting near the Pearly Gates, but enjoy the flames.
They fail to recognize their own greed. They covet and want someone else's money, but think that people keeping their own money is a sin? Idiotic. You can't make up something that stupid. /SMH
Example:
John builds his own home on his own property. Jack neither owns property nor is capable of building his own home. Is John required by law to let Jack live in his home he built on his own property? Would any of you agree to be forced by law to let the homeless move in with you if you have a home and they don't? That's exactly what anything but a capitation tax (everyone splits the cost of government equally) is. Taking from some by force of law to give to others who haven't earned it.
We'll get another massive Wall St bailout and huge gifts to big oil, now that Goldman Sachs and Exxon are in charge. The two biggest symbols of the lobbying power and cronyism in DC and Trump goes on and stack them in his most important positions!
Its like a big f*** you to rural America and the 99%.
Says the guy who celebrates that the crony capitalists are now in charge, the people who've bought the political system and transferred trillions of wealth and income from the 99% to the top through wars against unions, erosion of the minimum wage, anti-worker trade deals, deregulation of Wall Street and weakening of anti-trust legislation. The greediest donor class fat cats who hate salt of the earth Americans are now fully in charge of the economy and our foreign policy and they laugh at their supporters.
No, you just cut out the sentence that followed your quote, which pointed out that skyhigh inequality in the US makes those numbers not representative of the typical American.
Same is true in Sweden, which by the way, has more billionaires per capita than the US.
Only 3 tax brackets
Lower the federal income tax rates to a top rate of only 25%
Flatten the brackets so that the middle class and above are in the same tax bracket
Implement a 25% VAT tax
Eliminate FATCA
Don't tax income earned abroad
