All complex electronic machines need to have access ports, in order to receive firmware updates. There are self-erasing malware programs that can be imported, that remove all traces of themselves, after they've done their dirty work. Memory cards, USB connections or even wireless access can be used. Why did the Trump campaign so aggressively oppose the re-count in Pennsylvania? Because about half the votes there were electronic only and there were no paper ballots (something I think should be ended).
If Putin thinks he can disrupt America by turning on Trump and revealing how they were able to skew the voting results, I'd say that was a welcome and necessary disruption and the sooner the better. Revelation of what they learned by hacking the RNC, would be very useful for us in preserving our country, even if Putin had malicious intent on his mind.

I've backed off of CD because it's so frustrating to see my fellow Democrats act like children instead of accepting the fact that Trump will be the next President. It's upsetting to see how many can't think for themselves - just mimic the BS from the liberal news and others on here and don't use their brains.
Many of these posters are from blue states so have been conditioned to believe everything without questioning. Many appear to be well off and may not have experienced what many of us blue collar or low income workers have endured. Many - though intelligent - do not do independent research to support their positions and it's evident in many posts where what they post has already been disproven. Their sense of right and wrong is skewed depending on their political leanings.
It has become less of a forum or discussion and more of a mud slinging campaign - mostly by the Democrats who's philosophy is one of acceptance even if you don't agree with a person. Both parties have changed throughout the years but Democrats have changed the most - today even Kennedy would be considered a Republican. Ask not what your country and do for you - but what you can do for your country - that quote has fallen on deaf ears in the Democratic party where state and federal assistance to Americans, legals and illegals has become expected and not a helping hand until you can get on your feet and give back to your country.
How little does their country mean to them if so many want to leave just because the results of the election didn't go their way?

It is certainly possible that there could be the same type of "red" flag to be found on jump drives used to update and ready any electronic voting machines....
Definitely would like to see a paper trail for any voting system as backup and tangible evidence of voting results...in any state and on any level of voting...

Trump isn't obama.
Obama shouts to the world his strategy to get even with the russians. He does this for posturing and legacy, ignoring the harm it does and how his secret announcement is on par with warning isis oil trck drivers of a bombing raid. Totally ineffective. Obama signals his punches.
Trump would consider the facts and never let the russians know if he will or will not take action. that's what a real leader and president would do.
