Why should anyone stop complaining about ANYTHING until they are getting 100% of what they are entitled to?

What are they entitled too?

What is it that everyone else IS entitled to - that you think "they" are not?

I think the government and society has made things about as fair as they can for everyone. Now it's time for them to do their part. Work harder than everyone else. Be better parents than everyone else. Be better students and better citizens.

The opportunity is right in front of them, all they have to do is take it. No one is being held back based on their race in this country any more.

treating women like they are being denied basic rights. Pushing this equal pay nonsense (even though it has been in law since 1963, so basically this is part of their goal for everyone to receive the same wages). Treating them like innocent flowers (like acting like it was a huge scandal that Trump talks about women's looks).

and then you have many liberals complaining when jobs have too many "white men" (usually only jobs like STEM fields and politics and ignore the dirty dangerous type of jobs). And talking about "white male privilege" and how white men need to "recognize their privilege"

maybe then they will stop hemorrhaging white voters. Won't hold my breath though
The Democrats push this strategy b/c it works and, if they abandoned this strategy, they'd have to run on their record and proposals. All the Democrats want is power, which manifests in the form of more regulations; higher taxes; labor laws that favor unions; weak immigration laws; weak national defense; civil unrest; no law and order; hating law enforcement; Obamacare; etc.

In light of the insanity of the Democrats' policies, identity politics isn't a bad approach. So long as they stick to their insane policies, they'll do better using identity politics than running on policy proposals.

Funny how you dont mention any specific progressive policies. Breaking up the big banks that crashed the economy, banning for-profit prisons, getting big money out of politics, 2 weeks paid vacation for all workers, a national health care system like the rest of the civilized world and expansion of social security. On issue after issue, this has majority support among the American people. A huge number of conservatives support these issues as well when polled.

I'm a woman and I agree with OP. I'm lucky to be living in a country where I don't have to cover my face, or need an escort to go somewhere, I can and am encouraged to educate myself and I can choose any profession I want. If women are complaining, did you prepare for your future to open up your options, maybe you should look around at the company you keep. Are they discouraging you in any way? Yes there are some people who enjoy power over another, today you have the right to choose to get those types out of your life.

Hey, at one time women were held back but that isn't the case now. I don't feel the need to demand reparations for something that was done by and to others in another era and I certainly don't want to live life in anger (hold a chip on my shoulder because of by gone days), that chip could get awful heavy. Life's too short.

So yes it's time to get with the times.

LOL. The fact that so many of you missed the sarcasm of one of the prior posters amuses me to no end.

I want women to have to register for the draft. I want non white folks to not be discriminated against in renting. I want sentencing to be equal.

We still have some work on these things, but we are mostly there. That doesnt mean you stop.

Gee, I didn't hear Hillary didn't talk much about those things. Ditto for the liberal media. What I heard was... "Trump this, Russia that, black this, white that, Latino this, homophobic that, xenophobic this..."

IMO the liberals are the real racists. They constantly pander to voting blocks by playing the race card, pitting Americans against each other (e.g. "angry white men", "white-lash"). Seems to me they want to keep blacks dependent (enslaved) on their plantation-dole instead of actually helping them help themselves.

Under 8 years of Obama inflation-adjusted incomes of
- The lowest quintile of Americans dropped by (1.7%)
- The lowest quintile of blacks dropped by (3.0%)
- The richest 5% of Americans rose by 6.0%.

Corporate media doesnt talk about the issues that matter because it hurts their billionaire owners. But Bernie did talk ALOT about these issues and he continues to talk alot about it and supports candidates that will push this agenda for the people. Thats why he has set up a website, Our Revolution, to make sure that enough people get engaged so that this can become reality. We dont need more identity politics, we need real solutions for salt of the earth Americans who are seeing their standard of living stagnating or declining.

I certainly have much more respect for Bernie than Hillary - the crook who was in it for herself. But I don't agree with most of his economics. Perhaps I'm ignorant of some issues, but I believe that his medicine would end up being worse than the disease in most cases.

Example, Obamacare. My group premiums are $1,525 per month (mostly employer paid) for employee + spouse. That's ludicrous. In 2007 they were about half that. My daughter just enrolled in Obamacare + dental for almost $300 per month. Shes going to nursing school and working as a waitress. Before Obamacare she could was getting heath care for around $130 per month.

Free-market economies make every class richer but a natural byproduct of that freedom is some people get extremely rich, and the top % tend to get richer faster. Like Elon Musk creates PayPal and gets rich. He then uses that money to create Tesla or something else and gets even richer (or maybe goes broke?!). It's unseemly, but he didn't "steal" those riches. The economy is not a zero sum game.

From Bernie's website:
"The reality is that since the mid-1980s there has been an enormous transfer of wealth from the middle class and the poor to the wealthiest people in this country. That is the Robin Hood principle in reverse."

How exactly did the rich take the wealth of the middle class? I'm middle class. As far as I can tell, the only group taking my wealth is the government via taxes. How did wall street, for example, take my wealth?
