I was right. You're clueless. Tillerson is an energy engineer who has spent 41 years at Exxon, not a lobbying firm.
Uhhh yeah...however, he has no experience in diplomacy on that level (or any level) and his recommendation to Trump came from the hacks and high echelon lobbyists in the oil industry. I have no reason to believe that Trump even knows the guy.
