Ultra Communism is the best. That's the one where television is strictly controlled. 1984 movie kinda stuff. Do you wan't internet, that isn't gonna ever happen. Presidential elections happen once in a while, but there is only one candidate and "HE" always wins in a landslide with 100% of the vote.

It ends with the letter "a".

..."a" as in Canada.

What's the fun of any kind of system if the State isn't enforcing it at gunpoint?

Sure, there are many such worker co-operatives in America. The most famous international one is probably Mondragon.

I miss feudal capitalism, where all of the wealth is concentrated in a few hands and they kill their opposition.

Sounds like America 2016.

Are you in the right century?

This is like using a quote to back up an argument. It's entirely void of any sort of thought provoking point and actually detracts from the conversation, rather than adds to it.

Actually, this is false. You cannot mix capitalism and socialism. Not really.

Capitalism tends to defend private property, in the sense that you or I can own a factory then purchase people's labor to become productive. A socialist would not recognize the right of one person to purchase another's labor, and rather than those in said factory all own the factory as their labor can only ever truly be theirs. These two views can't really be mixed, can they?

A mixed economy tends to just refer to a mixture of private and public planning. Socialism isn't actually defined by government regulations, despite what journalists on Facebook would have you think. Many socialists oppose state intervention. Some don't. A mixed economy would have private property (in the sense already mentioned; there aren't socialist coming for your TV or house or whatever... well, at least not every socialist would support another coming for these things... nuance can be such a *****) but would also grant labor unions. In a way, this is like mixing capitalism and socialism, but it's still more capitalist than socialist because unions don't actually own anything.

Really, mixed economy is mixing a specific kind of capitalism, laissez faire capitalism, with really anything that isn't that. That usually refers to a mix of neoclassical economics and Keynesian economics, both of which are capitalist systems.

Not to argue but isn't Labor, just like Capital and Land, a thing and don't the Unions (when they exist) own it as a collective (or individuals in their absence)?
