I suppose one could argue that point. I think the major difference is that unions 'own' the labor democratically while typical capitalist set ups are more autocratic. Both are consensual (at times with a great deal of reluctance, which one could argue diminishes the value of consent) but one must suffer the consequences of democracy, meaning that when leadership within labor union goes against the will of the workers it represents, those leadership positions can be re-assigned in a manner agreed upon by the union at large. So certainly, it wouldn't be a stretch to view this as owning labor, though it is undeniably in a very different context.
Also, you don't need to say 'not to argue.' I welcome, and actually rather enjoy arguments. It's a forum after all. I know some people just want to sit in an echo chamber on this forum, but I am not among them. So I don't mind people arguing a point contrary to mine or being critical of me, so long as the criticism is an honest one.
