I guess there are a lot of theories on why conservatives are so obedient to people like Trump. Some say that since they are naturally fearful people that they are basically ruled by their lizard brain (see below) and need someone that they think is "strong" to be in charge of them. Some say they have trouble understanding what's going on on the world and need someone who sees things in black and white, with very little grey areas to consider. Let's say nuance is not their strong suit. And it is been mentioned that they just hate change, and are fearful of a constantly changing world.

But what I've really found puzzling is how quickly they are willing to sell out their own country to Russia, run by a genuine dictator. Even though the CIA has "strong confidence" that Russia was involved in hacking elections results and conservatives don't care that a foreign power who has long been an adversary is given a free pass to interfere and undermine our democracy.

Remember when Trump said he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and his poll numbers would rise? He was absolutely right. Do you think it is just the lizard brain excuse, or is there something else going on that makes these people hate our Constitution and welcome Russian interference by Putin?
