Why does anyone care about the FLOTUS' office? It's about as important as giving Gisele Bundchen a locker in Gillette Stadium.

Most likely, Ivanka will be doing duties that are typically done by the first lady, while Melania hides in NY.

IMO, Melania will be first lady in name only because Ivanka will be the stand-in most of the time. There will be a some occasions when Melania appears as first lady, but mostly it will be Ivanka.

I think she would be better than having Trumps wife the soft porn model doing it.

Posted about it last night. So much for the blind trust campaign promise. She was supposed to take care of Trump LLC during his term, but she's confounding the situation as head of the company and sitting in on meetings.

Conflict of interest.

#draintheswamp?

Yeah, right!

I am not a Trump fan and have absolutely no problem with this. I think its great that we are finally at a point first families can assume their chosen roles instead of trying to fit a preconstructed model. I also would not be opposed to a first family simply hiring a supercharged social secretary to play the first lady role.

My one gripe with Trumps family is that he and the kids need to maintain a clearer separation in terms of Trump the business/Trump family/Trump administration. The Clinton Foundation bit Hillary in the ass and if he's not careful his business dealings could do the same for him.

It's not right that the first lady doesn't get a salary, yet has many expected responsibilities. It's about time the first lady refuse to work for free. A future first lady should stand up for women and demand a wage as first lady, and set the trend for future first ladies to get a salary. Not so much because they need the money, but because it's not right for the first lady to have to work for free.

However, since Melania isn't in DC and won't be doing many of the duties, then she really cannot argue for a salary right now. So maybe the timing isn't right at the moment.

IMO, it's a job with duties and responsibilities and it should be a paid position and this should have been rectified decades ago. Same salary whether it's first man or first lady.

Does that mean you think Trump has to give her 50 cents of his $1 salary?

I think that we are ready for change and I will be looking forward to the new administration - regardless if it strays from the traditional format.

We have to remember Trump is not in office, just yet. I have no doubts lawyers are working around the clock. We, have what, 30 days left?

I do think we will see this President put in more hours than what we are use to seeing. Whether it means more results remains to be seen.
