I hope you arent counting on that.

The GOP had no problem doing it and they did not consider it childish, they called it patriotic. The GOP did not help the country at all. A good example is when the GOP opposed health coverage for the 9/11 responders because they wanted to extend the Bush tax cuts.

Last week, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) released a letter signed by every Senate Republican pledging to block all legislative action until Congress acts on the expiring Bush tax cuts and passes a measure to fund the federal government into 2011.

I am very aware the GOP will control everything for the next four years. Democrats should not give cover to Republicans in any way. Things will happen and Republicans should be made to own it. They are now the party of Putin and there will negative results for that. Again, the GOP should be made to own that as well. The point is, Democrats will receive no positives whatsoever by supporting any GOP effort. The best they can hope for is making the GOP own the inevitable bad.

True, its speculation, but do the math 52 less McCain, Graham, Cruz and Rubio equals FAIL. Just for comfort you get the hardcore Deficit Hawks.

The guide argues that, like the “Tea Party patriots†who found common cause in their unified loathing of President Barack Obama, progressives who oppose Trump should stand against him before all else rather than try to articulate a policy agenda that has no hope of advancing while the GOP controls all three branches of government.

Can't argue with the logic of this. Republicans accomplished almost nothing during President Obama's terms other than attacking and for that they won it all. Crippling Trump and the GOP would be our patriotic duty.
the republicans didn't oppose Obama...Obama had full control and shut the republicans out for the first two years

on the otherhand, Harry reid did oppose the constitution by tabling 500 bills that should have been voted on and forwarded to Obama's desk for his signature or veto

They will vote with Trump in most cases.

Sadly, Obama fostered this polarization when, from the very beginning, he took the position of, "You lost, I won and losing has consequences." I'm not hearing that from Trump nor have I ever heard the type of "let's stick it to the Republicans at any cost" mindset being espoused by the Democrats over this election. If this isn't a form of anarchy, what is?
Republicans met on the evening of President Obama's inauguration and determined to opposed him on everything.

After three hours of strategizing, they decided they needed to fight Obama on everything. The new president had no idea what the Republicans were planning.

Republicans did not call their behavior "anti-American" they called it patriotic. They cannot complain now, they set the tone. Republicans have shown there is absolutely no positive that comes from a bipartisan approach. And if Democrats support any Republican initiative, the perception will be, the country is better when Republicans control everything. So no, the exact same treatment should be given to Trump as President Obama received. Which Democrat should stand up and scream "You lie!" to Trump? I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunity for that.

Now your speculating. Remember what Trump said about Ted Cruz's wife and father? He does. And I forgot Rand Paul who already took a shot across Trumps bow.

I'm not. That is what they do. Paul will vote against some things BUT the bills originate in Congress, not the White House.
