Not true.

When Democrat Harry Reid took over the Senate in the last two years of Bush's term, he decided to block all Republican-proposed legislation.

After Obama got elected, he didn't allow any amendments by Republicans to Obamacare, and he wouldn't allow votes on more than 300 hundred bills that were sent over to him from the Republican House.

The normal thing to do is to consider a bill from the House, come up with your alternative version of the bill in the Senate, and then go to a conference committee of both houses to compromise.

That didn't happen in the case of over 300 bills.

It was the Democrats who obstructed, not the Republicans -- all with the approval of Obama.

Some of us actually follow what's going on on C-Span. You might consider trying it some time.

If you look at his other appointments most are equally as bad. It's frightening for the country. Not who won or lost. The whole country lost. Wait until you see how he is going to bankrupt us. Worse than W. Bush. Do you have any idea of the price of the wall he wants and is still insisting on putting up?
No,snowflake he isn't going to get it from Mexico. Keep dreaming ....
You sound like an MSNBC/CNN/Huffington Post talking point machine.

It's hard to take you seriously.

By the way, where in the Constitution does it say that we have to have departments of energy, labor, education, etc.?

Or HUD, HHS, NIH, etc.?

Apart from the post office, military and interstate highway system, I don't see much that Washington does that couldn't be done by the states.

You remind me of the snowflakes having melt-downs over Trump's election who didn't even bother to vote.

LOL

Keep it up, I love melt-downs.
Haaar! Melt downs? Care to do a simple post count as to who it is on here doing the full monty of meltdowns?

By the by; exactly when in your maturity process did you miss the lesson that resorting to childish name calling would instantly result in reducing your arguments to the irrelevant?

-They hate anybody who is white, male, Christian, and straight, even if they are white themselves.
-If a white person is put in prison for committing a crime, they are thrilled, but if a minority is put in jail for the exact same crime, they go nuts.
-They say that Trump is going to be the first fascist dictator of America and say how much they hate dictatorships, yet many idolize Communism and Socialism.
-If you didn't agree with Obama's policies, it was because he was black.
-They say that if we don't believe in illegal immigration, we hate all foreigners.
-If we believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman and a different term should be used for the union of same sex couples, we are homophobic.
-They say that the Catholic Church is holding them back, even though they have nothing to do with anything.
Anyway, just needed to vent. Am I the only Republican who sees the insanity here? And I will not tolerate backlash either. I want this to be a civil thread-that's literally all I ask.
I am from the Vietnam generation. Most of the rich white liberals that marched against the war in Vietnam are now comfortably retired from large corporations where Socialism and protest became a distant memory. They are now the Republican backbone of suburban New York and New Jersey because they soon found out that the Democrats couldn't butter their bread.

I was a conservative back in college for the sole reason that I believed that the protests were aid and comfort to the enemy. I am now a liberal mostly because I've seen how well organized the corporatists are when compared to the working people and the unions. The inequity is ruining our middle class.

We survived Johnson and Nixon. We will survive Trump. You are in your early twenties. Take a look at these extremists in twenty years and see if they still hate white people or consider Marxism realistic.

Keep repeating that as often as you like. Your posting history says otherwise.

Agree. All of these different departments is the reason why we pay so much in federal taxes. Let the states and districts handle those affairs. The Fed is there to protect the nation at large.

"The popular vote elected Hillary."

When is she going to be sworn in?

If the popular vote is what is counted, candidates would run a DIFFERENT camping.
