Just for example purposes, if we allow that US industry was doing 80% of what the environmentalists want them to do but then they are required to go to 85% which is economically untenable for the business. That business then goes to China or some 3rd world country where their manufacturing will be at say 30% environmental compliance of what is deemed ideal. Further the finished product will then be shipped back to the US on huge ships, the construction of which consumed vast amounts of materials and energy, and that uses a huge amount of fuel to transport it back.
Then the ante is upped to 90% and another batch of businesses leave.
China and other countries may sign agreements, but they don't enforce them. Its just political theater for them.

Businesses that are forced to leave the US for China or elsewhere because the costs to comply with environmental laws have made the business untenable are not facing the same regulations in China. Environmentalists do indeed contribute to increases in worldwide pollution.
Actually a small minority of people deny climate change....It is people who deny the facts that are the joke.
I think the question is not whether there is climate change but whether all of the proposed or mandated actions will actually do any good. Closing American factories because they are too "dirty" does not reduce pollution if that manufacturing then moves to China or elsewhere where there is but only a fraction of environmental protection in place, and that's before the environmental impact of shipping the goods back to the US.

Domestic companies that are burdened with the left's high taxes/excessive regulation will NEVER be able to compete with the low taxes/zero regulations/slave labor of places like China. It's mathematically impossible for a USA company to compete with a China company thanks in part to the high taxes/regulations put into place by the left.

Also, please explain to us why the so-called "green climate activists" do not practice what they preach and drive around in $50-$80k huge gas guzzling SUVs, huge gas guzzling limousines, gas guzzling private jets, have huge gas guzzling luxury boats, etc?...
For the same reason that liberals, who endlessly voice their support of the endless growth of Big Government, NEVER, EVER send a voluntary check on top of their required tax payments. Yet to hear them talk, you'd think Washington is responsible for everything good in America.
