Trump will take his own head of personal security and other bodyguards with him to the White House. That should make the Secret Service very happy. There seems to be some potential for conflict. At least it would make for a good SNL skit. It doesn't seem that this has ever been done by any previous president.
But Adolf Hitler had his own personal bodyguards, eventually known as the LSSFH, which had about 800 men, just to protect him and his residences and headquarters. He was so hated and opposed, even by many of the country's other security forces, that he trusted only his handpicked, personal guards.

Trump Doesn't Trust the Secret Service
Or 17 intelligence agencies and he says he knows more about ISIS than the Generals. He oughta shut down every Federal agency and do it all himself, might even keep him busy enough to prevent him from making an jackass of himself on Twitter so often.
There you go again, predicting something Trump will do and making it a head line. Why not wait and see what he actually does? Then you'll be beating him up for something he actually did, not something someone is contemplating he'll do before he's even inaugurated. Wow, what a great idea!!!

Not that mother jones isn't a highly respected news source (sarcasm) but the truth is that Trump has spoken very highly of the Secret Service.
Trump's private security, and the Secret Service have worked together seamlessly the entire election cycle, there is no reason that they won't continue to work very well together.
A Praetorian guard - for someone who imagines himself with imperial powers.
