There is nothing Dems can do. The only people who could pull something are the electors, and they are Republican.
True to an extent, but this will go down in history as the most harassed and threatened group of electors in US history. Truth be told, the safest bet for all of them is to just vote for who they're pledged to vote for and say, "I made a promise to vote for Trump/Hillary and I'm honoring that promise."
306 Republican electors vs 232 Democrats. Pretty clearly they're not going to vote in Hillary Clinton and they're probably going to elect Trump. Extreme dissent in the EC is something we've not seen in about 200 years. Even if we saw 40 Democrats vote for Kasich (for some reason, that's the name that keeps coming up) and 5 Republicans then Trump still wins -- but it would still freak out the American people to realize that their choice can so easily be taken out of their hands. Even if it's only a handful of faithless electors, you can bank on a response in every state legislature. Nobody wants to see a trend where the EC goes rogue on us.
Despite the media's attempt to make this seem 'unsure', Trump will receive this electoral votes which will be received and validated by congress before he is sworn in on Jan 20th.
Someday perhaps people will realize "the media" is NOT on your side and only seeks to make ad revenur from you tuning in or clicking on.
cross you fingers the sleazy and corrupt Dems don't pull something to block Trump. They'd sacrifice America itself to retain power and would do anything they could to keep it's citizens beholden to the status quo.
At 10 a.m. Monday, members of the Electoral College began casting their ballots in state capitals across the nation to make Donald Trump's victory official. By 2 p.m., 30 states had voted so far, with no surprises in the balloting and Trump collecting 176 votes to Hillary Clinton's 103.
The 538 men and women will be voting primarily in accordance with the results from November in their state. The electors, chosen by state parties of the candidate who carried each state, will convene in all 50 state capitals and the District of Columbia.
Only 1 elector has decided to not go for Donald Trump.
When will we know for sure...... "aka"..... when will the new riots begin??...
