Obama's comments on Fidel read like a Seinfeld episode: talking about nothing. So ambiguous and meaningless, it wasn't even worth saying.

Sophomoric comparisons of men to parts of the female anatomy aside, Obama's words were directed at a tiny island nation with little to zero influence on the world these days. Yet, Trump sucks up to Putin who is a confirmed and corrupt thug who has a large (negative) influence on many strategic parts of the globe.

He said NOTHING of substance. It was an entirely ambiguous context free statement. I know of no diplomat who speaks with such vagueness.
