Amen. We might as well shift our energies towards natural gas until we develop the technology to get off of fossil fuels, which is always going to be blocked from funding by Republicans, as the entire party is in the back pocket go big oil. Drilling for oil in arctic seas is inherently more risky than doing it in calmer locations. Seas are far more unpredictable and the isolation would curtail any attempts to clean up oil spills. This was a rare bit of good news coming out of Washington D.C., I just hope environmentalists have deep pockets for the legal battles.
