In the last 8 years, you guys made a fuss about the federal deficit, but now you want The Donald to put forth an infrastructure budget. None of you even have an issue with him renewing the nuclear arsenal.

I am worried about the federal deficit.

#1 Obama did not cut the federal deficit in half. That is a lie. We added $1.42 Trillion to the national debt in FY 2016.

#2 Under current law, the national debt is set to grow at an accelerated rate.

#3 We currently have low interest rates and relatively short term bonds...a raise in interest rates will also accelerate the debt growth.

#4 Democrats screamed bloody murder with the sequester, which still increased debt, just at a slower rate. The Republicans have no backbone to fight against the democrats screaming bloody murder.

#5 I think Trump's plan will accelerate debt.

= Get ready for a debt explosion.

It has been long established deficits only matter when a Democrat is in the WH.

They now have control of all 3 branches, let's see the budget cuts since they are against raising taxes. They are actually reducing taxes so I look forward to all these budget cuts to balance the budget, this should be fun to watch.
I'm hoping they don't believe these tax cuts will balance the budget, already saw trickle down once I don't need to see it again.

Grover Nordquist and the Freedom Caucus will nail this one

federal debt, not deficit.

I think you'll find now that Trump is inflating the debt, many republicans will justify it as necessary, because people in general are sheep that way.

Me I never really cared about the debt. We have a fractional reserve debt based currency... no debt, no money.. the debt has to keep going up in a predictable manner to keep the system from imploding.. to keep the circulatory system flowing and prevent heart attacks.

I'd love it if we spent a trillion dollars on our roads, bridges, especially adding and widening interstate access, making stoplights smarter to improve traffic flow, and things of that sort. Money is just numbers on a computer screen.. the things you do with it are priceless.

My personal finances are really all I worry about, not the federal government's.
