How could it be cowardly to condemn illegal behavior?

I'm not justifying anything. I'm pragmatic. I believe that a Jew (and any person) can live in Europe as a minority if he respects the majority and not trying to fulfill his national rights there instead of his Homeland.
But, if the Europeans, the landlords, the hosts, want us out, they need to work with us and help us to find another place. And that basically what happened in 1917 and 1947.

And Muslims have hated Jews for thousands of years. Why does Israel have to give up
the strategic West Bank, so their enemies can use it as a base to strike Jerusalem and
destroy the country ? Israel won the war folks and to the victor belongs the spoils.

Before this is over the UN will cause WWIII starting in the Middle East. Dump the leeches
and send them to Venezuela where Hugo Chavez said they were welcome. Don't believe they
would be wined and dined in Caracas though since the economy has gone belly up.
This.

Why do progressives, or socialists, or Leftists, even the ones who claim to be Jews, so hate and want to destroy Israel?

Yup that worked out great for the Jews didn't it? 6 million dead and the rise of anti-semitism in the ME for Israel to be created.

Israel is not going to break any bonds with the United States over this. Trust me.

I don't see any posts calling for the destruction of Israel. I haven't seen any hate rhetoric.
How much more loyalty do we owe a nation who is the #1 recipient of US foreign aid?
We are 20 trillion in debt and still give Israel 3.8 billion a year in military aid. The aid we have pledged to israel over the next ten years would pay for 15 Virginia class attack subs, 2.75 Ford class Aircraft carriers. Feed all of our homeless.
People act as though we attacked Israel. We simply abstained from a vote.

What worked great? "Final solution" was not arranged by the Zionists. And much stronger Israel would be created if not the Holocaust.

Currently off course not, when Trump will be in charge. But in the future, everything can happened.

Is it not time for Israel to stand up and negotiate a way out of its problem. They have the strongest Military in the region. The Countries around them are in turmoil. They have an opportunity to protect themselves and instead want to build more walls.

I understand this land is in dispute between Palestine and Israel however for where we are TODAY, everything I have read indicates that these settlements are illegal under rules from the Geneva convention. I have found articles from months and years ago from Pro Israel newspapers and other sources that question whether these settlements are legal. The fact that it's a question to Israeli's as well should tell you something. I have found articles saying Obama and even past administrations (I assume Bush) have warned Netanyahu about pushing settlements into this area. Seems like everyone has been telling Israel to not push these settlements for quite some time now.

We then come to the vote...14-0. By the vote, this wasn't even a heated debate. 14 to nothing with countries like Britain, France, Russia, China, Japan, Ukraine, Angola, Egypt, Uruguay, Spain, Senegal and New Zealand voting that these are illegal. What did Israel expect US to do...especially if Israel is completely wrong in this?

What am I missing? Other than US and Israel are friendly nations, what actual reason is there for US to veto the vote?

The best analogy I can think of is 2 brothers with one picking on everyone while knowing that their bigger, stronger UFC fighter brother will step in to help. At some point, after telling the little brother to stop it, the bigger brother is not going to step in.

and No..if Israel is wrong, I do not think US should veto a resolution simply because we are friendly nations. To me, that is not a valid reason.
while this american abstention is meaningless in the long term and obama would certainly have vetoed had hillary won the election

the usa has vetoed countless resolutions down the years against israel where far more grave offenses were in focus , most countries just assume its a given that america will use its vetoe whenever israel is in the dock

like i said earlier , only in america would someone like obama be labelled anti israeli , were he leader of any other nation on earth , he would rightly be seen as rock solid behind israel
