That means that sooner than later the UN will be non existing or more of a joke.

In the past we have seen speeches from dictators while people walking out when Netanyahu was speaking.

It is time to stop this non sense that cost a lot of money.
America pays it's fair share for Israel. Trump is an hypocrite. He said America first, but he puts Israel on a pedestal. Let Israel pay for its own defenses.

Why weren't you conservatives talking about how useless the UN was back then? Hell, it could've saved thousands of American soldier's lives.

But no, you all liked the UN back then because it was useful.
Those were the NeoCons. Their ideology & methodology are now fully adopted by the NeoLibs who run the Democratic Party. Perhaps you forget Bush & 30 of his cabinet members endorsing Hillary Clinton? The NeoCons are at direct odds with the Trump team in 2016. Don't forget it was Bill Clinton who signed the Iraqi Liberation Act of 1998 & the Democrats who campaigned to have Saddam toppled for 10 years leading up to the war. Hell, Al Gore ever went so far as to call Bush St. "soft on terror" for not invading Baghdad the first time around.

So, since Obama has been dropping bombs all over the ME, now you are pro-war and happy being the world's police/enforcer?

It seems as you love to accommodate your party whatever the stance.

We should be out of the UN, keep our noses out of other countries affairs and stop being the police for the globe. If you disagree, that's up to you.

When the United States pursued the Korean "Conflict", our troops were described, as "U. N. Forces". But even though it's a mess and ineffective in many ways, it may have made the difference in keeping us out of another world war. Think about the bad consequences that could result from eliminating it.

Israel officially supports a two-state solution. They were condemned because they keep building Israeli settlements in the would-be second state of that solution. They were called out and are acting like a country that got caught would act.

Frankly, I feel sorry for Israelis. Netanyahu's rash actions are harming them.

If I were an Israeli, I'd give the UN the finger in a heartbeat if that kept the Palestinian radicals from launching more mussiles into my town.

We didn't need a UN-approved "pretext for war."

Hussein was in violation of the ceasefire agreement that ended the first Gulf War.

That's all the pretext we needed.

We were.

We never liked it and we never needed it.

The UN gave an opportunity for other countries to show that they were interested in being civilized.

They weren't.

They had their chance, now it's over for them.

Wrong.

But keep building those straw men, so we can keep knocking them down.

Israel wouldn't have a finger to flip if the UN had not established it.

The only thing that has kept us out of another world war is "mutually assured destruction" by nuclear weapons.

The UN has had nothing to do with it.
