Meh. They still have hearings and many judges don't go the way people think they will. Politicians expected far more Scalia like conservatism from Roberts and Kennedy. Plus, I'd like to think karma will get those that went out of their way to stall past appointments. John ********'s derailment of Ronnie Lott's nomination was pure racism.

Boy, who knew this was going to happen? I didn't realize we had that many vacancies in the judiciary.
All this, plus one Supreme Court justice, and maybe more than that in the next few years. The news just keeps getting better and better. America's future is bright again.
Patriotism would not have foisted the 17th Amendment upon these United States, like progressives did 100 years. It damaged the checks and balances of the originally formed government system.
Patriotism would not have opened the door for ISRAEL, our only true democratic Middle East ally, to be condemned in the U.N. Security Council.
Patriotism would not have tried to make recess appointments in violation of the Constitution. The Supreme Court slapped down Pres Obama for that move.
Patriotism would not have become frustrated, impatient, inebriated with the power of governmental control to pull a shoddy, late night, parliamentary maneuver called 'budget reconciliation', in order to push through a purely partisan, ****ing big deal, bill The PPACA.
Patriotism would not have changed 240 years of parliamentary procedure to employ the 'nuclear option' in judicial appointments, as Sen Reid did.
Negotiation is never easy, certainly not in government, but for ~240 years none of the above occurred. Patience and maturity is required, which apparently none of the Democrat leadership have. Obstruction? LOL. No sitting president has gotten all that they wish. Every sitting president prior to this one, within the constraints of our brilliant system of government, have had to work for it. They have had to convince, cajole, cooperate, lead to a negotiated settlement. What, this about to be past administration, was a special twinkle? Was supposed to be treated different?
Karma is a *****. What goes around, comes around. Children learn. Democrats apparently not.
Need I go on?

Will it also be patriotic when the Dems do the same to Trump? Or, will the narrative be changed to "working against the best interests of the country?
Democrats have been calling them the "do nothing Republicans" for years now but apparently the Republicans were playing chess while democrats have been playing Candyland. You liberals are about to see what these "do nothing Republicans" had in mind all this time.
Is that so? Why didn't you Republicans do all of these things the LAST time you had the presidency and both houses of Congress? You Republicans "had in mind all this time" all the same things you had in mind the last time.
Result? Nothing. Repubs: long on mouth, short on results.
Meh...you guys have won all of these legislatures and governorships all across the country and the country is basically no different than it was before you won those seats. Hell, i live in a Republican state, and i haven't seen anything different since our last Democrat governor and congressman had their seats.
Republicans talk big in the run-up to elections, then they get the victories and do nothing but suck-up to the top 3% to 5% of the country...a group that you're nowhere close to belonging to in a million years. Neither do the rest of the right wingers on CD.
This new Republican regime coming in January will be no different. They'll be tax cutting for the wealthiest, figuring out ways to help corporations to get even richer, encouraging offshoring, doing absolutely NOTHING about illegal immigration, and looking for fires all over the world for our military to put out. And you'll be supporting all of it too.
That Muslim registry? That won't be happening either...but you knew that already.

Oh, this is rich. The GOP WROTE THE BOOK AND TREASON AND LACK OF PATRIOTISM. Any reasonable Republicans were ostracized for even meeting with the President. The alternate universe is astonishing in its imagination.
Budget reconciliation is exactly how Ryan/Price plan to dismantle Medicare and Social Security.

I'd like Republicans to tell me exactly when did Donald Trump become a judicial originalist?
Who is fooling who? You did not respond to my points. Can you?
Once one side does it, it opens the door. "Budget reconciliation is exactly how Ryan/Price plan to dismantle Medicare and Social Security.' Maybe you should have been more thoughtful and diligent in your retirement planning. You know, not dependent.
Prove this ostracism charge. Prove it.
When one cannot debate, one says "Keep telling yourself these fairy tales."
Another no bullets retort, "The GOP WROTE THE BOOK AND TREASON AND LACK OF PATRIOTISM." Show how this is true.
Lot's of puff and stuff. I]Pffft.[/i]

Quoting a famous man, "Elections have consequences."
Well evidently not, I learned this year that sitting presidents can't get an appointment through in their last year in office, that is reserved for the next president.
You should also take note that this is a very high number of vacancies and the main reason that Harry Reid used the nuclear option, our courts were not functioning because of historic republican obstruction. They hated Eric Holder and even took 3 months to approve Loretta Lynch, they couldn't help thermselves.

Very true, you never know how an appointment will turn out. It is important that they are highly qualified but beyond that it isn't always clear even considering past rulings.
