Why is that? Are electric cars just too sissy for you? Do you need a big truck or a Camaro with a loud roar from the engine with exhaust to feel like a man? Is that what it's about? What if they make electric trucks?
I always like to get back as well as get there. I haven't been to a town yet, that didn't have a gas pump. I don't see too many signs advertising Charging Station.

You're right. But it's so mindlessly stupid. Who doesn't love Teslas? I really think the left has lost it.

OP's generalization is messed up. I know conservatives that love electric cars and liberals that hate them.

I am thinking in another five years electric cars may well be the way to go. Right now they all gonna cost you more to own than a Corolla.

Most power plants have went to natural gas because it's cheaper.

Limited driving range per full charge compared to gas or diesel vehicles. What are the batteries made from? Rare earth metals that are stripped from the ground or toxic chemicals/elements that will seep into the soil after a major crash? How long before the batteries no longer hold a full charge? Not every family can afford the price for a new electric car nor having a certified electrician install a quick charging outlet. Some HOAs and apartment complexes will not allow these vehicles to be charged because the electrical outlets available are not attached to an individual apartment's utility meter or the HOA doesn't like the look of the charging station and extension cord when visible from the sidewalk. I've gone on 400 mile trips in a gas car. Takes minutes to fill a tank. If there are no quick charging stations available you might as well check into a hotel and hope they let you plug in your car for the night.

The best option at this time is a form of hybrid like either the Prius or the Chevy Volt.
