Their use of the term "new King" is sort of silly. It does appear they're comparing Trump to Jesus, and even if they're not, can we stop pretending Jesus, a Jew from 2,000 years ago who stood up against the Roman Empire, culminating in his execution, would in any meaningful way be on our side. If Jesus came back tomorrow, the US government would be the Roman Empire.

whatever. It's fun to watch passionate people erupt with passion when their strongly held belief systems are questioned, especially when it comes to political issues.

Yeah, some of the hardcore Trump supporters are as emotional as your most emboldened leftie and have been making pictures and memes comparing Trump to Jesus.. just more of the sheep who think they are not sheep.

There are plenty of posters on here who talk about trump like he's the second coming. So the statement may have been badly worded, but some people worship this moron like he's a god.

They'll probably line the reflecting pool on 1/20 in anticipation of him walking down it.

If they were referencing Jesus why didn't they say "our heavenly King". Shame on Preibus or whomever for allowing this to be put out there.

I bet it will be taken down before dinnertime. https://gop.com/rnc-message-celebrating-christmas-2016/
