If people can identify as a gender that their DNA did not make them, why can't we identify as a race that our DNA did not make us.
I am not opposed to people being transgendered, but why is there such a stigma for those who identify as a race that they are not - because they may be taking advantage of affirmative action?
Creepy. Too bad they aren't so busy studying that they don't have time for this nonsense...well unless they are preparing for a life of living in mommy and daddy's basement while fighting the social justice war.
If we did away with all but the top 10% of research universities and had 95% of everyone earn bachelors at their local community college which only offered the top 15 or so stand alone direct-to-employment (Teacher, RN, Accounting, Mech Eng...) majors. Would we really do harm to our country? Seems like we waste an awful lot of money and energy on things that do not advance peoples' employability.

Ironically, I often run across a young transgender person in my daily life and have even offered them words of encouragement after they seemed down one day and told me that some jerk on the street had called them a freak.
I treat them with respect, they treat me with respect....problem solved. Same way I treat my co-worker, the cafeteria lady, my boss, etc etc etc.
Some of this aggressive pronoun shaming is nothing short of bullying. Likely a backlash to the unfair abuse many of these people face in their lives. It's basic hate breeding hate and I can't support that philosophy in either direction.
Weird thought. Its Kansas. Also known as the largest physical manifestation of Koch Industries. What if the Koch bros spent that money on making their County community colleges into employee mills offering direct-to-employment majors only which all read, "University of the State of Kansas" complete with accreditation.
Even weirder thought. Use actual accountants/ engineers/ teachers... to teach some of the 200 and above level practical courses. I remember my best "profs" were not profs, they were professionals of their field. They tended to teach skills directly with a lot less theory and explain why something was important in day-to-day employment terms.

Why is only gender treated this way? I think one should also get buttons to show one's preferred birthday gifts, social titles, and salaries...
Where do these Kids get this. As far as I know there is only His and Hers, Male-Female.
This gender thing is gone too far and is left field. No one thinks of such trivial issue in Speech!
I do not care!
