Not likely to find one. Otherwise, Gov't would be able to decide if Big Oil was involved in price gouging. My response was based on my "guestimate."

Here's a broader link which describes my views on this very subject...

The Senate Shills for Big Oil

One of the major shortcomings in last year’s admirable energy bill was its failure to extend vital tax credits to producers of wind, solar and other renewable fuels. This was entirely the doing of the Senate, which caved in to the oil companies and their White House friends.

about $.06 per gallon
Government makes about $.60
10 times the profit of gas. No wonder the government is in no hurry to help curb the price of oil.

So we went from Jarndyce's inflated number of 30% when in all actuallity, Big Oil is making 6 cents a gallon.

Makes you wonder what people are bitching about.

The fact you don't want to enjoy life is, well, not normal. Most people do want to enjoy life. And they do so in different ways.

For instance, do you own a camera? I know many who really enjoy photography and travel so they can take pictures of our wonderous country.

Or, how about skis - snow or water. Many I know, myself included, enjoy sking down a hill of fresh powder snow. How about you?

We enjoy being on a lake - often times sleeping in the boat on a lake. Enjoying nature. Or, going to the mountains and being in nature. Or, sometimes, backing the trailer up in a spot right near the ocean -

I'm sorry you are unable to enjoy some of thing activities
I think you are a bit condescending to imply that just because he doesn't have or believe in 'things' he can't be happy, or that he doesn't enjoy life. I can be happy and enjoy life by simply sitting in my backyard and staring at the sky. Could I be happier if I were sitting in the Sahara looking at the stars? Maybe yes or no, but that doesn't take away from the happiness I feel right now. I certainly don't need a trailer, or a boat, or a plane to make me happy. I feel sorry for those people who need such 'happiness boosters'.

Is it Bush's fault that gas has doubled GLOBALLY? I am not the biggest George Bush fan, but you can't blame gas prices on him, when the same increases have occurred globally. If the prices increases were exclusive to the U.S. then you'd have a point. But they are up everywhere, and it's because we have emerging third to first world economies, and thus a higher demand. That is not the fault of George Bush, or whoever is in congress. It just isn't.
I don't blame Bush...that would be like blaming my six year old. He is a figurehead, a token. The 'problem' is a system that allows corporations to run wild. From www.ourfutures.org: (broken link)

During a time of record high oil prices and record profits among oil companies, Congress gave subsidies to oil companies worth $30 billion over five years. They receive $5.4 billion in subsidies for exploration and an additional $4.7 billion for the depletion of discovered wells. Yet the oil companies receiving these subsidies have seen huge profits: Exxon Mobil at $36 billion; Chevron at $189 billion; Conoco Phillips at $166 billion; and Valero Energy at $81 billion.
