Some of us on the other side of the fence might think it's time to ante up, play for table stakes, and fight this one to the finish.
If this can be proven to be an effort to enfranchise illegal aliens, all those involved who can be identified should be prosecuted under the Racketeer-influenced & Criminal Organizations Act (RICO) the aliens should be deported, any organizers who are citizens punished to the maximum extent, and permanently enjoined from voting, if possible.
And as an aside, the Constitution of the United States specifically defines treason as "giving aid and comfort to an enemy in time of war" (Article 3, Section 3), and reserves the power to declare the punishment of treason to the Congress.
In short, specifically intended to prevent mob rule, by the likes of the OP.

My point is that the EO was just a political ruse. The reality is that the immigration system is not capable of deporting more than it is doing now. So when Obama is saying he will only deport criminals, it is just the reality that he can't even do that much. For the same reason, when Trump rescinds it, nothing changes unless Congress ponies up with funds to deport people. That ain't gonna happen. All that Obama or Trump are doing is grandstanding - just from different sides of the field. Obama's minions fall for his EO, Trump's fall for his. Meanwhile, the illegals stay.
