And all the while GOP'ers continue embrace socialist security. It really is silly to think they'd be principled enough to end FDR's socialis insecurity scheme.

It's amazing some of you can even sleep at night with how torn up you are over taxes and anything resembling collectivism.

I happen to be a moderate in these areas and think movement in either direction, especially to the extreme, should be thought about long and hard..but man some people need to grow up.

They're a Ponzi scam. Some winners, mostly losers (future generations). Great for the parasite-class, though.

I do admire the effort you guys make to sound like rugged individualists though.
Nothing like ignorance, eh! Now back under the rock you go, now, so you don't see any facts, or, god-forbid, get exposed to any truth. Scamper, now!!!

Eliminating SS would be great

Immediate impacts I can think of:

- Teach people personal finance and responsibility
- Teach people how to plan for their future, outside of just personal finance and responsibility
- Free up government resources which would either a) be eliminated entirely or b) go towards whatever next 'big government' democrat push is, still resulting in a net decrease in resources at the federal level
- Allow me to retire earlier since I can manage my money better than the government (see first point)
- Start limiting governmental oversight and rule of my life and future

Completely agree on all of these, then resources can be better directed at those who truly need SS, such as those who REALLY fell on bad times, not just those who didn't even put in a bare minimum level of planning.

Heck at this point I'd be OK (as a baby step in the right direction) even if the federal government said they were taking x% and giving us the choice to put it in a few different funds similar to a work 401k. Something has to change though where you have access and control over your funds, that still allows the actual poor, destitute and disabled to have something to help them out.

extremely gullible. They just believe and latch onto anything the MSM, some FB meme or tweet tells them. It's sad.
