The grudges that are held onto, and will never be let go.

Murrrrca is like the Hatfields and Mccoys, times 1000.

It mainly racial.....a multicultural-society is a weak, hateful, distrustful mess.

The song was written in the 1930s, and has nothing to do with slavery. It has to do with prejudice and racial violence in the post-Reconsruction South.

She's white.
She is just as black as Obama.

Rebecca Ferguson

Strange Fruit was sung and performed by Billie Holiday, the lyrics a poem written by a teacher, inspired by the horrors of lynching.

We studied it at school.

In the late 70's.

In Australia.

None of them have been asked. Kinda like that moronic dress designer who said she wouldn't dress Melania. Until she spewed her nonsense, nobody had heard of her. And now that she's gone back into the woodwork where she belongs, nobody remembers her name.

Just more goofy liberal fake news.

Strange Fruit is one of the greatest songs of all time. And in the Holiday iteration, it's an absolute masterpiece by the greatest jazz singer who ever lived.

I'd love to hear her try it though it hardly seems appropriate. But whatever.
