There is already a wall. The places without a wall are in the middle of a desert and there are frequently drones passing overhead to catch any jumpers.
Remove the ability for illegals to live here and they won't even bother coming in the first place. No jobs, no housing, no money, no medical care. Shut them off entirely.

"I see mexicans every day" is more important than actual statistical evidence that shows that illegal immigration is at a net zero and has been for years, just like "I see people in Cadillacs using food stamps!" is more convincing than the evidence that shows welfare fraud is minuscule. E- Verify was created 20 years ago. Only a handful of states have chosen to make it a requirement of all employers. Why is this?
So long as US people and small businesses continue to employ undocumented people without serious consequences there is no hope.
ICE employs 20,000 spread over every state and more than 40 countries. Not all are agents. 20,000 vs 11-12 undocumented people does not compute.

Why would we spend our tax dollars to build a wall when it wouldn't make a difference anyway. What would stop them from digging a tunnel underneath or scaling the wall. Why does anyone think a wall would deter anyone. How about we spend our tax dollars more wisely. But hey, Trump is a billionaire...let him spend his own money to build it.

All good points and all can be easily rectified with the right congress and president which it seems we now have. It starts with enforcing current immigration laws, hiring enough agents to do the job correctly and putting repeat offenders convicted of hiring illegals in jail.
