Good grief.
It used to be that we never heard of these kinds of incidents in any mall. But here you are saying, oh it's just a handful of incidence.

If Trumps owns the good news, he owns the bad news too.

Macy's lay off 10 000. Thanks Trump.

That doesn't happen very often. Certainly not enough to be the reason that indor malls are suffering while outdoor type malls and high-end malls are flourishing.

Take my city for example. The Macy's at the Boulevard Mall is closing. That mall has been there since the sixties, in an area of town that used to be the tony part, but is far from it now. That mall is only a few miles away from the flourishing Town Center mall which is open air with cobblestone pedestrian only streets and lots of dining and music. The stores there are doing very well. It's the trend right now.

Boulevard is also not far from the upscale Fashion Show mall, which is also thriving.
Macy's management has made some missteps. Obama has zero to do with that, and neither does a bunch of stupid kids starting disturbances at a handful of malls. We didn't have any disturbances here that I'm aware of.

I didn't see Carrier get punished, looks like they got a government subsidy. Maybe we can do the same to save these jobs at Macy's.

Macys signed their death warrant when they openly traded Trump. That's when the Trump voters changed their mind where to buy. Even if Trump voters all bought 2 or 3 utems, else where instead of at Macys that will cost Macys a lot of money.

Macy's was importing more than half of its merchanize from China, If Trump is going to rise taxes on Chinese importations then Macy's is taking action before Trump can cause them more damage. cutting Labor liabilities and reducing inventories to the mínimum so the new taxes planed by Trump's Protectionist Proyect won't lead Macy's to Bankruptcy.

Yes and yet Macy's executives are going to survive, the ones losing their job are the workers who voted for Trump.
