Correct. So why make a thread that makes it seems as if the Middle East is unique in that respect. It isn't. Europe's body bag count makes the Middle East look like a day care center.

The difference between he middle east and Europe is that the ME was closer to the Mongolians. The golden horde literally sent the ME back 1000 years, if it wasn't for internal strife within the Mongolians they would have swept through Europe other than pushing the "barbarians" into the Roman Empire Europe was spared of that destructive force. It seems to me that a big problem in the ME is the kingdoms like Saudi Arabia that use a corrupted form of Islam in order to subdue their population and keep them subservient, the intended or unintended consequence is that they export that brand of religion which does seek supremacy among other religions. So i do think there is a form of Islam which is incompatible with western civilization you can argue any form of civilization.

The Jews accepted it and the Arabs declined it and instead began a war to annihilate the Jews and take it all. As to Christians, there are nearly 160,000 living in Israel itself. Why don't you read the commentary associated with your link and do some research on Ramallah and Bethlehem and figure out why in both the Christians are the extreme minority, yet Muslims are the high majority. Both cities used to be over 90% Christian a few decades ago.

In response to your assertion that violence and civilization are incompatible, what are you defining as "civilization"? If you consider the USA to be apart of your definition of "civilization" then I would retort that we have an incredibly violent society & culture. When viewing European powers we see the same narrative played out in their colonization of the world, and the wars between themselves...which includes the deadliest wars in recorded history.
