Jane Fonda, Judd Apatow, and Patricia Arquette are among the stars taking part in a celebrity-packed telethon airing on Facebook Live during Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration, which will raise money for Planned Parenthood and environmental group Earthjustice.
“Love-a-thon” was the brainchild of Alex Godin, a 23-year-old tech entrepreneur, who says Donald Trump’s election inspired the event.

“I woke up like a lot of Americans feeling pretty crappy on November 10,” Godin told CNNMoney. “I looked for an opportunity to do something.”

The event’s organizers — which include tech PR consultant Kara Silverman and Sam Koppelman, digital content strategist at Hillary for America — hope to raise a minimum of $500,000.

“It’s a really important opportunity to support causes like Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, Earthjustice, as they gear up to do [critical] work,” Godin said.

Other celebrities expected to participate in the event include Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Guest, Tim Robbins and Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy.

No it won't hurt Trump. They can all go love themselves.

Watch all the professional pretenders show up and preen themselves.

They are out only for themselves.

If there is one thing I despise ~ it's facebook live. And that includes when Kellyanne and the trump team did it.

They can celebrate all they want...... Just as long as the Obama's vacate the WH.

I have a gut feel Obama may need to be evicted.

Trump has a number of problems.

Progressive Love-a-Thon isn't one of them.

Good luck to them.

I'll give them credit for at least doing something constructive.

Really?

Republicans are busily trying to gut oversight on ethics (that didn't go quite as planned), repeal ACA, and pass a deficit budget that will add $10 trillion to the national debt.

Seems like Republicans have a lot on their plate. Do you all really have time to worry about a progressive fundraiser?
