And what of the wack jobs that continue to use loopholes we provide them? This event shows yet another lasp in security at our airports. We already have tons of police at the airports.

They didn't die.

They were liberated by freedom holes!

Unless the shooter was black. In which case, goddamn immigrants.

C'mon Frank; is it inconceivable that he might not have been the only one arriving from Alaska with a gun in their baggage? What discernible good did it do them?

Further proof that this did not happen.

I mean, with the TSA, this is clearly an impossibility.

Thank goodness we have a military and a police force. Being trained to shoot a gun isn't what causes people to commit mass murder.

Right now we just don't know enough about the shooter and anything you or I assume isn't based on fact.

According to Reuters,

"Santiago served from 2007 to 2016 in the Puerto Rico National Guard and Alaska National Guard including a deployment to Iraq from 2010 to 2011, according to the Pentagon. A private first class and combat engineer, he received half a dozen medals before being transferred to the inactive ready reserve in August last year."

Still, nobody knows why he decided to shoot innocent people today.

"The two countries’ rules are similar, but Canada’s are somewhat stricter:

The U.S. Transportation Security Administration requires people flying with guns to put them in checked bags, unloaded, in a locked container. Passengers should tell the airline about the gun. Ammunition should also be in a locked, checked container. Under the American rules, it can be in the same locked case as the firearm.

The Canadian rules are similar: guns in locked containers in checked bags only. The Canadian rules also require trigger locks, and say that guns and ammunition should be in separate locked containers. Air Canada requires passengers with guns to show up 30 minutes early to take care of all the paperwork."
How would the Canadian rules have changed the outcome? I don't really see how having the ammo in a separate locked container is better.

The shooter wasn't even a threat by the time police arrived. He had already thrown down his gun and was laying down on the floor waiting for authorities to arrive. I'm surprised no one else tried to attack him while he just waited there. Maybe they were afraid he might also have a bomb?

The demographic that frequents airports are usually the passive type until they get plane liquor into them and cause flight to be rerouted. .
