Maybe you forgot who's in charge the last 8 years. He claimed he is black and we had more than enough riots in 40 years. While stuff happened in the past is the past, it's history, we can't undo that so stop making excuses for people.
Totally disagree with your comment. FLOTUS tried to teach us to eat healthy, exercise and how to raise a family despite being in the public eye.

I agree, it makes me want to throw up too. That's why I never watch her speech.
Michele Obama has given her final speech, and it is very emotional and uplifting. I know all too well that the haters will pop out of the woodwork and start saying things like "Glad to see her go, blah, blah, blah", but I really could care less. This one is for those of us who think she was a wonderful First Lady and a genuinely great human being.
Because where you encounter active racism is when you are a fish out of water in an impoverished area.
A black man in a rural trailer park in Alabama or a white man in a Detroit project is much more likely to encounter racism than either would in a diversified middle class neighborhood. I can't recall encountering racism more than a half dozen times in my life. My half Filipino son claims he faces racism all the time while my pure Filipina wife claims she has never encountered it. Seems a bit odd to me.
In my 36 years with a wife of another race I have encountered those who made it clear to me they did not like that two times.
Of course, all the flaming liberals LOVE Michele Obama, and her gooey, tearful speech! But, I'll give them this.....if it was Snotty the Half-Wit Snail giving that speech, the liberals would still be impressed, as long the democrat buzz words were there.
