Yes it was very clear indeed - by a margin of over 3 million HC was the preferred candidate for President and not what we got. In any other Country in the world she would be the president elect not what we got. The mandate was for her not him.
Among those who voted for her in NY and CA, a few other blue states. The other states, the mandate was for Trump. You can spin it any way you like, deny it till the cows come home, but your Queen lost the election.
For all of the fools who keep crying about the popular vote, you're embarrassing yourselves every. single. time.
You are not voting nationally. You are voting for the electors in your state. You're not voting for president, you are voting for the electors, IN YOUR STATE ONLY. Every single state gets to have a say, whether you like that or not. There are 50 states. All 50 states get to have a vote. The people do not elect the president, THE STATES ELECT THE PRESIDENT.
It doesn't matter if 10 million more people voted in CA for Hillary, it simply means that 10 million people in the state of CA voted for certain electors from the state of CA. That's it. That's ALL that it means.
YOU do not vote for the president. Those 65 million people did NOT vote for president. Those 65 million people voted for the ELECTORS IN THEIR STATES.
The fact remains, MORE people voted for the electors to vote for Donald J. Trump. THAT is why he's president and Hillary is not.
The extra 3 million came from the state of CA. A total of 7 million people in CA voted for their electors to vote for Hillary. That's it. That's all that it means.
Every time that you bleat about "popular vote" you show everyone how uneducated you are.
Okay thanks but this really refutes everything you say:
National Popular Vote 2016
Hillary Clinton 65,844,954
Donald Trump 62,979,879
The reason Trump got to win with less votes is constitutional affirmative action. Yes, the same concept that Republicans have railed against for years in which a lesser job candidate is given a boost so they can compete for a job. Obviously Trump benefited greatly from this form of affirmative action.
You are delusional. Keep believing your BS. I know it's natural for your ilk. Buttercup.
Can I call you peckerwood? I've always found it to be the perfect form of endearment for people with intense anger issues that manifests itself in extreme rudeness.

once again the electoral college wins the day.
I freely admit Trump won the election according to the rules we all knew about and agree Trump is the PEOTUS.
But, I fail to see how anyone can consider it fair when all of a state's electoral votes are given to one candidate, even if the state's vote was 51%-49%. WHY should the votes of 49% of that state's voters count for nothing?
The only thing I see the EC accomplishing is attempting to avoid giving one group of voters too much influence by giving another group of voters too much influence.
The founders wisely made provision for amendment of the Constitution and I think it's past time for 'one man, one vote'. I hear people praise other countries we support with foreign aid $$$ for being true democracies, surely it's about time we become one ourselves.
Waste of my time, Buttercup. It has been decided. Deal with it or go to your safe place and hibernate for at least four years.
What I want to know, peckerwood, Does the bunker you live in have nice curtains?
