And the Trump train continues. Stay off on your own peril but this country is truly moving FORWARD with or without you.

Quote:
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will invest $1 billion to retool and modernize two plants in the U.S. Midwest, including one that would be able to make the Ram heavy-duty pickup truck currently produced in Mexico, it said on Sunday.

The automaker said the investment would create more than 2,000 production-related jobs. The company also said it planned to add three new Jeep models, including a pickup truck, to its product lineup and make them in the United States.

The announcement comes as U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has threatened to slap large tariffs on vehicles imported into the United States from Mexico.

Trump, a Republican, has attacked Ford Motor Co and more recently General Motors Co and Toyota Motor Corp for building cars in Mexico.

Last week, Ford scrapped plans to build a $1.6 billion plant in Mexico and invest $700 million in a factory in Michigan.

Oh nos! Good paying blue collar jobs that don't require a college degree for hard working Americans! The horror

Libs better go check under their bed for Putin, and then hide under there for the next 4-8 years. America is going to be very busy being great again.

Ford told CNN that the company "decided to move the F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks to Ohio Assembly in 2011, long before any candidates announce their intention to run for U.S. president." Since then, Ford has invested $10.2 billion in U.S. plants, which is over four times what it has invested in plants based in Mexico and Canada.

Sure, they changed a decision making process which takes months and even years of planning, strategizing and getting financing for and they just divert a billion dollars like that the second Trump gets elected. He is owed 0 credit for this or any other corporate decision, but his own company's decisions.

Nothing to do with Trump and companies are sucking up to Trump to flatter him and get government favors. Thats how business is done in America now. Crony capitalism on stereoids. Sad.

Fiat shares have gained 14 per cent since the election, with a jump three days later after Mr. Trump chose a prominent climate change skeptic to lead his Environmental Protection Agency transition team. That fuelled speculation that the new administration may loosen fuel-economy rules, which would benefit makers of conventional engines. Gains by the U.S. dollar since the election are also positive for Fiat, Mr. Marchionne said.

Here we go...we can all choke to death on exhaust fumes when a climate denier is in charge of an agency that is supposed to protect the environment. Yeah keep polishing the turd folks.

And Obama had 8 years to turn this ship around. Instead, he put the American worker in the poorhouse and on food stamps. He also showed his lack of regard for business owners by suggesting that "someone else made that happen".

America was tested this election, and the grade is in. America gets an A+, and their good paying jobs back.

I'm guessing that Michigan is very happy they helped the "blue wall" to collapse. It was doing nothing for them.

Robby Mook should have gotten off his ass and visited a few UAW union halls there instead of completely ignoring Michigan.

Mr. Steal your pension and load you with debt Romney tried to say Fiat-Chrysler was going to move to China during the 2012 campaign. This is the finalized version of the Corp. denying that Claim. Nutty Don had nothing to do with it.

If you want to claim this you also need to claim Nutty Don is responsible for raising gas costs as well as the assignation in Mexico.
