I think the legal system is in need of an overhaul. I remember when I was a kid and there was a nationally covered trial, it seems the only time appeals were allowed was if procedural error(s) could be pointed out in the original trial, now it seems as if disagreement with the verdict is grounds for appeal. I believe that needs to change.

1) I believe the Bible is the word of God as told by man, which makes it subject to all the flaws of man.
2) I didn't say it should evolve, I asked if the Old Testament was considered a valid part of the Bible, why shouldn't Old Testament punishment be? I responded to someone who said for the same reason that slavery was legal when the Constitution was written but no longer is.

For me, the Bible is a living document that can be used for many things. Because it is a living document is subject to different interpretations. A prime example of different interpretations? Hundreds of Christian denominations.

I guess you don't understand the Bible and the reason for the New Testament.
I pray for the lives lost and the families affected. However, I don't agree with this decision. This man is definitely dealing with since his younger years psychiatric issues that have distorted his thinking and caused him to act violently on his persecutory delusions
