Not a good look Comey.

If all this is thoroughly substantiated -- Watergate II?
Add Clapper, Brennan, and many other intelligence officials to the elect Trump bandwagon. They knew of these allegations before the election.

If he did this, he should face charges. I'd say treason would be appropriate, as it is obvious that he used his position in the FBI to influence and sway an election to his liking. This man is lower than pond scum. He should not walk away free and clear.

As for Trump, maybe not being able to book a single celebrity for his inauguration was foreshadowing that maybe there is not going to BE a Trump inauguration. We can hope...

Harry Reid called it, he was furious and scathing in his rebuke of the FBI. He just couldn't say why.

I don't know he procedure - it's surely not fair to allow Trump to be elected in the face of this possible news, if it pans out?

The American people deserved to know, if they did and elected him anyway, fair enough, it was an informed decision. I think there should be a do over.

Intel chiefs presented Trump with claims of Russian efforts to compromise him - CNNPolitics.com

Interesting. It's no wonder the story broke. The information has been circulating widely.

Quote:
in preparing this story, CNN has spoken to multiple high ranking intelligence, administration, congressional and law enforcement officials, as well as foreign officials and others in the private sector with direct knowledge of the memos.
CNN has the two-page synopsis that was given to Trump as well as a 35-page compilation of the memos, from which the synopsis was drawn. Some of the memos were circulating as far back as last summer.

The CNN story referred to a Mother Jones article last October, which I found:

A Veteran Spy Has Given the FBI Information Alleging a Russian Operation to Cultivate Donald Trump | Mother Jones

This led me to an article last September in Politico Magazine about Trump's mysterious foreign policy advisor, Carter Page:

The Mystery of Trump's Man in Moscow - POLITICO Magazine

It could well be counterfeit news.

Trump certainly is unpresidented.

We can only hope.
