More sanctions will bring Russia to its knees and Vlad needs the birther-in-chief to lift the existing ones...it's a simple as that.

But, lifting sanctions is how we persuade bad actors to join the "community of nations." It's working brilliantly for Iran and Cuba, right?

Right??

I can't recall either of those nations interfering with our elections nor any POTUS with a myriad of financial ties to the either of the dictators of those places...can you?

Can you?

Key paragraph:

"But most observers are missing the point. Russia is helping Trump’s campaign, yes, but it is not doing so solely or even necessarily with the goal of placing him in the Oval Office. Rather, these efforts seek to produce a divided electorate and a president with no clear mandate to govern. The ultimate objective is to diminish and tarnish American democracy. Unfortunately, that effort is going very well indeed."

Russia has info on Trump that will likely bring his Presidency down.

This is about to get very ugly.
The divided electorate can be blamed on Obama's eight year reign as divider in chief. And the situation is already ugly, it's been that way for the last eight years, but your side was too blinded by your adoration of Obama.

As a moderate, it's interesting to see the Left devolve and replace the conservative/Republican/Right wing nuts. I guess that's what happens. One party assumes power and the losers resort to sour grapes and then suddenly start their own conspiracies etc.

This is essentially the Left's version of Birthers

Even CNN and MSNBC is now Fox News and everything they say about Trump is negative.

I never thought I would see the day when Anderson Cooper became Bill O'reilly

Let it go guys. Trump is President. He wants to have peaceful relations and do business with Russia. That's the right thing. We don't need to have an antagonistic relationship with Russia.

Like the Financial ties between the Clinton Foundation and the Russian Uranium One deal?

Bring it to its knees....how? How will that benefit us? You think they are going to waive the white flag and come to us "Oh Dear USA, Please tell me what I can do, you showed me" Instead, they will forge relationships with other countries and find other ways to circumvent the sanctions as they all do. It never cripples them. All it does is create animosity.
Creating a more antagonistic relationship does nothing to benefit this country. It just creates more instability.

The proper approach is to take the high road and try to create a relationship with the country. That is what Trump is trying to do.

"OMG! Did you hear what Trump said about Mexicans? He's so finished..."

"OMG! Did you hear what Trump said about Megyn Kelly? He has to quit..."

"OMG! Trump said McCain wasn't a hero! He attacked the military! His campaign is over..."

"OMG! Trump mocked a Gold Star family!!! There's no way he's coming back from this..."

"OMG! Did you hear what Trump said about women. He's a rapist. No woman is going to vote for him..."

The rumors of Trump's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Except this is not coming from the democratic left. This is coming from Russia. Probably time to take stock in what is going on in the world today. It ain't pretty. And Trump is not helping.
