You mean for acting responsibly, and handing over information that is out there to them?
Yeah that sounds like a great idea. uh huh.
Sheesh.
PS-Trump has indicated he is going to spend like a mad man on our military industrial complex. yeah he will twitter away, but they know the money is coming.
He should have been a lot more skeptical of what was in it, but as much as I loathe him, it was the right thing to show it to someone. He's probably just like Podesta, who was conned into giving up his password. I don't think these guys get the way the internet works.
He is a war hero. However, It's particularly grating to see people put him on a pedestal after how James Stockdale was treated. If McCain is a hero, Stockdale was a deity.
I don't think he should resign for this particular reason. I just don't find him to be particularly trustworthy.
For example, McCain was vehemently anti the use of torture as an interrogation method by the military, then suddenly announced that the CIA shouldn't be held to the same standards. In a statement submitted for the Congressional Record, McCain explained that the CIA had the right to use 'alternative interrogation techniques' that were 'different' from those used by the US military. In other words, McCain doesn't believe in torture unless the CIA does it. Then it's ok.
He is not particularly good or bad, just another politician who is pushing his own political agenda. Certainly, I cannot tell him to resign, but he really is not as important as he thinks he is. That is kind of... sad.
Also, the Daily Mail is known as the Daily Fail in the UK. It's absolute rubbish.
It would have been irresponsible of him to sit on it. He did the right thing, turned it over, to let the intelligence people chase down the accusations.

Love ya Lil' - But you're wrong on this one.
He is not a war hero...
He's was a snitch to the North Vietnamese - and demoralized US troops by speaking propaganda for the communists. Listen to his speeches and read the words from his peers and fellow POWs.
